June Favourites

I know I say this every favourites but HOW is it almost July - that's halfway through the year already! I have quite an odd selection of favourites this time so let's get started!

Hay Day & Quizup
My first two are both apps and, to be more specific, games. I actually downloaded these a while ago but I never really became addicted to them, like I have now! I just find myself constantly checking my farm or playing random quizzes (a double z?!) now - it's a serious problem.

Ingrid's coming out video
First of all, I am so unbelievably proud of Ingrid for being so brave and true to herself. It takes a lot of guts to tell the whole internet that, let alone close family and friends, but she did it. The video was raw and authentic and it really touched me that she finally felt confident enough to share with us what she had been scared of for most of her life.

Lana del Rey
If you know me personally, you will know that Lana Del Rey has literally been the only thing that I have been singing lately.
I adore the whole of her Born To Die album and I can't wait for her new single Honeymoon to come out! Most of her songs seem quite depressing at first, but her voice and the lyrics are just so elegant and chilling... argh she's just my QUEEN. (along with Taylor of course)

My polaroid camera (eeeeeeeek!!)
You might remember this post, where I basically just ranted on about my love for polaroids. Well... I GOT A POLAROID CAMERA!! About 2 weeks ago, I just suddenly decided to go ahead and order one, after having wanted one for forever. It came earlier than expected (within 2 or 3 days) and it is GORGEOUS. I got the white one (Fujifilm Instax Mini 8) as it's timeless and simple and my friends have kindly named it ZoĆ«. I haven't taken many polaroids yet but I love everything single one I have. (TIP: buy it on Amazon, this link here, as it's SO much cheaper than at Urban Outfitters, it's definitely worth the £70!)

(Four photos of the same thing?! You can really see how much I love it, can't you?)
Dungarees (even though I don't have any)
I actually don't have dungarees. I wish I did but I doubt they'd suit me anyway :( So why are these on my favourites if I don't even own my own pair? Basically, because I've seen quite a few of these so far this summer and I think they just look so cute and adorable! I have got my eye on a few but I don't know if I'll be allowed to buy one (I have enough clothes as it is!). I've found Topshop's dungarees particularly nice, like these two:

Topshop denim dungarees: 1 / 2

Tanya Burr
Tanya's definitely been my favourite Youtuber this month, her personality is really bubbly and uplifting so she always cheers me up! I think she's beautiful, I love her book (see my review on it here) and seeing as she just moved house, I'm hoping for some homeware hauls!

Lemonade
I wasn't sure if I should include this in this post or not, as I'm pretty sure my obsession with it will grow as it gets hotter and hotter. As much as I love Coke or Fanta, they always seem way too sugary for me to finish an entire can to myself. This lemonade (the Sanpellegrino Limonata), however, I can finish - it's not too sweet and it's very refreshing. Obviously having fizzy drinks everyday is terrible for your health so sometimes, I'll make my own with a bit of boiling water, lemon juice and sugar. I have to admit, it's not as nice if it's not fizzy, but pop it in the freezer for a few minutes and it's perfect!

Colouring book
You might think, at first glance, that this is quite a weird thing to have on my favourites, I mean I'm not 4 after all! But, surprise, surprise, it's not really. Colouring books have made a massive comeback recently, with adults of all people. The patterns are really intricate so they're supposedly therapeutic and relaxing. I decided to try one out and I bought Animal Kingdom by Millie Marotta. I haven't actually finished one image but I've started painting one and colouring another. It's sooooo beautiful!

So that was it for my June favourites, can you believe we're already halfway through 2015? It's like the further on we are in the year, the faster time goes! Follow me on Bloglovin' if you liked this post and I'll see you soon!

Wreck This Journal

I recently rediscovered my Wreck This Journal (by Keri Smith) that I had last year. I had to start one again (because of a certain mouldy situation...) so this hadn't been filled in very much.

If you don't know what a Wreck This Journal is, it's an activity book where, on each page, there is an instruction telling you to do something which will destroy the page or whole book to some degree. Its slogan is 'To create is to destroy' and it's meant to really "free" your inner creativeness. Some people make every page look absolutely amazing but, unfortunately, I'm (*cough*) not the most artistically gifted person in the world so I'm much more of a wrecking person.

Anyway, as you saw on my summer bucket list, I really want to complete more of the book and maybe even finish it in the holidays. I thought I'd keep you updated every once in a while to inspire you, hopefully, and also to encourage myself to do more! For now, I'll show a few pages that I have completed, or half-completed.

Hopefully, I'll finish enough pages to keep this mini series going, so watch out for update posts! Comment below if you like this idea, if you have one or even if you don't and what you think - I'd love to hear (read?) your thoughts too!

Liebster Award

I know, I know, another award, tell me in the comments if you like these or not because I have two more lined up - I might save them as reserve posts though. This time, I was nominated by the gorgeous Holly from Holly's Beauty Secrets to do the Liebster award, thank you so much Holly! There's not much else to be said so I'll start off with the rules!

RULES:
- You must thank and credit the blogger who nominated you
- You must answer the 11 questions they give you
- You must give 11 questions yourself for your nominees
- You must nominate max 11 other blogs, each with under 200 followers

MY ANSWERS:
1. What's your dream house?
I know for definite that when I'm older I want to leave by the beach - the sound of the sea is do relaxing to me and I'd love to have constant beach picnics! I've not yet decided exactly where though, Brighton, somewhere in Italy and California are all possibilities! I'd also like an apartment in central New York at one point. This is already a really long answer but I just want to mention quickly that my house would have to be decorated nicely, I'm a sucker for interior decor!

2. What's your favourite clothing item at the moment?
This is a hard one... I'd have to say that at the moment I'm really enjoying this Moroccan print top that I picked up at New Look the other day (haul coming soon? ;) ) as I love the pattern and colours!

3. What are your Youtuber recommendations?
I'm not sure what my life would be like without Youtube - I just spend so much time on it - so this is almost impossible! My favourite beauty Youtubers are Zoella (love her personality!) and Ingrid Nilsen (I actually prefer her #5MFU videos on her second channel as they're really refreshing and uplifting). My other recommendations are the SacconeJoly's, Connor Franta, Carrie Fletcher and JacksGap.

4. What are your book recommendations?
This is actually impossible for me and the books below probably aren't accurate representations of my reading style but they'll have to do.
Everyday by David Levithian
Anne Frank by Anne Frank (...)
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
and any Dr. Seuss books coz I'm a child ;)

5. What phone do you have?
I currently have a Huawei phone, I can't remember the exact model but I'm getting a new one this summer anyway.

6. What will your next blog post be?
As I said in question 2, I have another haul lines up (I just need to take photos) so it'll probably be that. There's still a chance that I might upload a smaller post mid-week, so be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' to never miss a post!

7. How did you come up with your blog name?
This is actually in my 'All About Me' section on here because it's not so obvious! When my sisters were little, they got given nicknames by my parents as a joke and at one point, I got jealous of it. I came up with my own nickname (Nini) and made everyone in my family call me that. It worked and it stuck, to this day it feels unnatural if I call my sisters by their real names or vice versa!

8. What's your favourite song at the moment?
I'm really liking Bills and Cheerleader at the moment but Riptide (Vance Joy) has made a comeback and has become my summer anthem, just like last year!

9. What are your guilty pleasures?
Snacking, definitely snacking. I am so guilty of taking way too many biscuits or almonds and not being able to stop. It never helps, if anything I feel hungrier and worse, but I just don't have enough food restraint! At the moment I'm also enjoying listening to the really old One Direction and Justin Bieber songs, the cringe worthy ones, if that counts...?!

10. What is your bedding at the moment?
They're nothing special really, just some flowers. I really want plain white ones for photos and the tumblry-ness but for some reason we don't have any!

11. What is your dream holiday?
Italy's my favourite country so probably somewhere on the coast there, in a quiet area. I definitely want to travel loads when I'm older, some of the countries on my list are China, America, Greece and Morocco!

MY QUESTIONS:
1. What's your favourite TV series at the moment?
2. Would you rather relive your worst memory or forget your best memory?
3. Peanut butter or jam?
4. What's your favourite season?
5. You get to have dinner with 3 other famous people, who would you choose?
6. Do you tan, burn or just stay the same?
7. Favourite comfort food?
8.  What car do you want to have when you're older?
9. What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?
10. Describe yourself using 3 words
11. Biggest pet peeve?
